malygabe asked: Since you live in LA now, is there a chance we will see you at Vidcon, whether as a performer or just an attendee? (I see a picture of you performing there each time I open the website. It then makes me hopeful that you might be there again.)
i always want to!
tomato-greens asked: PART ONE: Hi! I have been a fan of you and your music for years, since just before Into the Sunshine was featured, and I'm so thrilled you're still making your amazing music and just getting better with every album! (I haven't been to a concert mostly because we haven't been in the same place at the same time yet, but I plan to eventually.) So first, I just wanted to say thank you for making music that speaks to me so consistently and so deeply, while also being fun to listen to.
PART TWO: Thank you for being so nice to your fans, so down-to-earth, and - I don’t know how to word this part, but please bear with me - for representing ladies who aren’t necessarily six feet tall and extremely slender, because I think in high school I had forgotten women who look a little more like me could be good at things. (I mean, I think you are really lovely! But you don’t seem to be six feet tall.) Anyway, I hope LA treats you well, and I’m excited to hear your next album!
gawwwh, sweetest message
and I totally know what you mean about ladies who aren’t sporting model bods, I get really excited when someone who represents the rest of us gets some lime light.
hope to see you at a show some time soon!
elijahwrites asked: So I'm recording my first CD and I'm nearing the end and it's to the point where I just want to throw it all away because I'm sick of my voice and everything sounds bad. Or it's just all in my head.. how did you manage to put out your first CD?
hahahah I totally cringe when I hear my old CDs, it’s paaaaaiiinful
BUT, if I’m being totally honest, I was very self impressed at the time.
That being said, recording is monotonous, your ears get bogged down. You’ve probably been listening to the same thing over and over and over and of course you hate it. Step away for a second ( Or maybe a week)When you listen to it again, listen with someone who hasn’t heard it yet. Listen on nice speakers. I think you’ll feel a lot better
